What is the PESCO Bill Reference Number, and How to Find It?

Your PESCO bill reference number is a 14-digit code that’s unique to your connection. Find it in the top right corner of your bill. Here’s what it means:

PESCO Online Bill
  • Batch Number (2 digits): Like “01,” it shows your account group. It might change by area.
  • Sub-Division (5 digits): Like “26663,” it’s your local electricity area.
  • Account Number (7 digits): Like “1234567,” these are your permanent consumer numbers.

Example: 01 26663 1234567. Use this to check your bill online, download a copy, or ask about payment status. Lost it? Check an old bill or call the helpline.

What is the PESCO Bill Customer ID?

The customer ID is a 10-digit number that’s another easy way to check your bill. It’s on your bill, usually above the reference number, like 1263035890. Taxes Apply in the PESCO Bill

E.D

Electricity Duty (E.D.) is 1.5% of all the units you use each month. Everyone pays for it.

TV FEE

Pay Rs. 35 per TV if you’re a home user or Rs. 60 for commercial. Do you have two TVs? That’s Rs. 70.

GST

General Sales Tax (GST) is 17% of your bill’s main charges plus E.D. It’s on every bill.

INCOME TAX

This hits commercial users and home users using over 1000 units a month. The rate depends on your usage.

SALES TAX

Only commercial users pay this, based on their electricity use.

FPA

Fuel Price Adjustment (FPA) changes with fuel costs for power plants. For June 2025, it’s around Rs. 0.1918 per unit, but it can vary.

QTR Tariff Adj / DMC

This quarterly charge pops up every three months, mostly for home users over 300 units or commercial users.

TR Surcharge

Tariff Rationalization Surcharge (TR) is for industrial users. It might lower or raise your bill based on NEPRA rules.

FC Surcharge

Deferred Amount

This is a disputed amount (like a billing mistake) that’s held until sorted out.

Peak / Off-Peak Timings

  • June to August: 7 PM to 11 PM (peak); the rest is off-peak.
  • September to November: 6 PM to 10 PM (peak).
  • December to February: 5 PM to 9 PM (peak).
